Money
Pricing & contracts.
Retainers start at $650/mo (Foundation) and most full-service clients run $1,550/mo (Growth). Project work — websites, brand identities — is quoted flat: marketing sites typically $3,500–$15,000 and identity systems $3,500–$10,000, always scoped in writing before anything starts. Ad spend is separate and billed by Google/Meta directly to your card, no markup.
No 12-month lock-ins. Retainers are month-to-month after the first 90 days — the 90-day floor exists because search and content work genuinely needs a quarter to show, and we'd rather turn down a project than pretend otherwise. Project builds are milestone-billed and end when the project ships.
You keep everything: the website and its code, your ad accounts, your analytics, your content, your logins. We hand over documentation and part like adults. An agency that holds your assets hostage is telling you how the relationship was always going to end.
The work
Process & timelines.
Most marketing sites ship in 4–8 weeks from kickoff: discovery and wireframes first, design in weeks 2–4, build and content after, launch checklist at the end. Ecommerce and custom builds run longer and get their own timeline in the proposal. The most common delay is content approval on the client side — we'll tell you that upfront and help you beat it.
Paid ads produce leads within days of launch. Local SEO moves in 30–90 days. Content and GEO compound over one to two quarters. Anyone promising page-one rankings in 30 days is guessing or lying — our monthly report shows exactly what moved so you never have to take our word for it.
A select few — mostly brands with an Alaska story or founders we know. Alaska businesses are the priority: the whole point of Hype is marketing built by people who understand this market, its seasons, and its customers firsthand.
The people you meet. Hype is a small Anchorage studio — no account-manager relay race, no offshore content mill. When something ships, the person who made it is the person you can ask about it.
Ownership + reporting
Who owns what.
You do — always. Domains, hosting, Google Business Profile, ad accounts, GA4, social profiles: all registered to you with us added as a manager. This is non-negotiable in both directions; we won't take over an account we can't set up this way.
One page a month: what we spent, what it produced, what we're doing next — plus a live dashboard you can check anytime. Weekly notes when something needs a decision. No 40-slide quarterly decks.
Usually. We regularly run marketing on top of sites we didn't build, and we can share lanes with a niche vendor (a PR firm, a video team). What we won't do is take responsibility for numbers another vendor controls without access to see what they're doing.
