Welcome to the new home for Hype Digital Marketing.
For most of our history we ran our own site on WordPress, like we still do for plenty of clients. WordPress is a great tool when editing flexibility matters more than performance, which is true for a lot of marketing sites — but increasingly less true for ours.
So we rebuilt on the stack we use for our most demanding client builds: Astro on Cloudflare Workers for the public site, Hono on Cloudflare Workers for the contact form, and Cloudflare Images for media. No database, no admin panel. Blog posts and case studies are MDX files in the repo — Matt edits them in VS Code and they ship on push.
The result is a site that:
- Loads in well under a second from anywhere in North America
- Scores 100s on Lighthouse without us having to fight a theme
- Costs us roughly $0/month to run
